Effective date: August 18, 2026
Wavo Social (“Wavo,” “we,” “us”) maintains zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualization of minors, and any conduct that endangers children. This page describes our published standards and how we enforce them across our apps, websites, and related services (the “Service”).
1. Scope
These standards apply to all users, hosts, moderators, and third parties interacting through Wavo — including topics, replies, direct messages, voice rooms, clubs, profiles, avatars, and any other user-generated content or live audio.
2. Prohibited conduct
The following is strictly forbidden and may result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement:
- Creating, uploading, sharing, soliciting, or distributing CSAM or any sexual content involving minors;
- Grooming, enticement, or sexual exploitation of anyone under 18;
- Depicting, promoting, or facilitating sexual abuse or exploitation of children in any form;
- Using Wavo to identify, contact, or arrange meetings with minors for sexual purposes;
- Impersonating a minor or encouraging others to misrepresent their age;
- Blackmail, coercion, or trafficking involving minors;
- Any other conduct that violates applicable child-protection laws.
3. Age requirements
Wavo is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age of digital consent in the user’s country if higher. Users must provide accurate age information. Accounts that appear to belong to underage users or that violate age rules may be suspended or removed.
4. Detection and moderation
We use a combination of:
- User reports and in-app Report tools on profiles, posts, messages, and rooms;
- Human moderation review for safety reports;
- Automated and manual enforcement actions (content removal, mutes, suspensions, permanent bans);
- Host and moderator tools in live rooms to remove disruptive or harmful participants.
We prioritize reports involving minors and escalate them for urgent review.
5. Reporting CSAE to Wavo
If you see content or behavior that may involve child sexual abuse or exploitation:
- Use Report in the app on the relevant profile, message, topic, or room; and
- Email safety@wavosocial.in with the subject line CSAE Report, including usernames, room names, dates, and any relevant details.
Do not share or forward suspected CSAM outside official reporting channels.
6. Law enforcement and NCMEC
Where required by law, we report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or other appropriate authorities, and we cooperate with valid law-enforcement requests related to child safety investigations.
7. Account and data actions
When we confirm or reasonably suspect CSAE, we may:
- Remove content immediately;
- Suspend or permanently ban accounts and devices;
- Preserve records as permitted by law for investigation;
- Restrict features (messaging, rooms, discovery) to prevent further harm.
8. Education and product design
We design Wavo with safety controls — blocking, reporting, community guidelines, privacy settings, and moderation tools — and we update our policies and enforcement as risks evolve.
